Alison Levesque has been chosen to compete in the Miss New Hampshire USA Pageant in November 2008 at the Quality Inn & Wayfarer Convention Center in Bedford, NH. Alison was born and raised in NH and is currently a senior at Southern New Hampshire University, majoring in Accounting. She has always been interested in fashion and cosmetology. During her free time, she enjoys swimming, fitness, and golfing with her Dad. Alison's interests, personal attributes, and academics make her an excellent candidate for the Miss New Hampshire USA title.
Cheryl Peck, Salon Co-Owner/Master Stylist of Salon Aquavit in Milford, NH presented a check to Karen VanDerBeken, Senior Vice President of Development and Communications at Easter Seals New Hampshire for $6,500 on March 12, 2008. Salon Aquavit and Easter Seals partnered together to present a fashion show, America the Beautiful, at CR Sparks Event Center on February 22, 2008. Proceeds supported Easter Seal’s Veteran’s Count program. Veteran’s Count ensures veterans and their families receive exceptional services aximizing their quality of life in recognition of their service and sacrifice for the community. The fashion show featured clothing from Alapage, Cache, DistinctiveApparelGroup.com, Men’s Wearhouse, and Roxie’s Fashions.
Salon Aquavit has been nominated by Goldwell for the Global Business Excellence Award. The award is given worldwide and will be presented in Los Angeles in June 2008. Award categories include Entrepreneur of the Year, Salon Leadership, and Salon Excellence.
Veronica attended the annual KMS National Conference in Nashville, TN in February 2008. Veronica was recognized for the most overall educational activity and received an award for Excellence in Educational Display. The conference was attended by KMS educators from all over the United States. Congratulations to Veronica on her achievement!
Aquavit sponsored 3 Dream Team members in addition to salon owner and creative driving force Cheryl Peck to participate in the Imperia Vodka Hair Competition on June 2nd at the Verizon Wireless Arena. Cheryl along with Meredith McDonald, and Crystal Sawyer competed with other licensed professionals from all around New England. Meredith McDonald, lead stylist for this event, created an authentic yet glamorous hairstyle. She wowed the crowd and impressed the judges with her Textured Elegance creation. The level of talent was so extraordinary that video and images of the competition are being view all over the world. Robin is an asset to our team due to her passion for education, technology, and the constant change within the beauty industry. She is a huge proponent of continuing education and product knowledge to remain in demand as a stylist and an artist. Robin's capacity as an educator for Goldwell has taken on the task of creating original seminars designed specifically for their education department.
