Salon Aquavit presented a fashion show, America The Beautiful, on Friday February 22, 2008 at CR Sparks in Bedford, New Hampshire. Fashions from Alapage, Cache, DistinctiveApparelGroup.com, Men’s Wearhouse and Roxie’s Fashions complemented the work and creations of Salon Aquavit’s Dream Team of stylists and make-up artists. Together they created a memorable evening to benefit Easter Seal’s Veterans Count Program. Veteran’s Count ensures veterans and their families receive exceptional services maximizing their quality of life in recognition or their service and sacrifice for the community.
The Salon Aquavit Dream Team participated again in the Making Strides annual breast cancer walk on Sunday October 14th, 2007. In addition, the team was given the option to wear denim on Fridays and Saturdays for a donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation in support of Lee Denim Day.

This past December, the Salon made a charitable gift of $3,700 worth of Profound Hair Care products to Bridges. Salon Aquavit has made on-going contributions to Bridges: Domestic and Sexual Vilence Support. Bridges works with families staying in their shelter by providing intense support services including education regarding the cycle of abuse as well as education and support of children. We encourage everyone to support the end of the cycle of violence.
On September 19th we held a Cut-A-Thon to benefit, Cut-It-Out. Cut-It-Out is a program of the Salons Against Domestic Abuse Fund dedicated to mobilizing salon professionals and others to fight the epidemic of domestic abuse in communities across the United States. Cut-It-Out builds awareness of domestic abuse and trains salon professionals to recognize warning signs and safely refer clients to local resources. All proceeds from service sales were donated to Cut-It-Out and a portion of retail sales were also donated. We want to thank all those who supported the cause as well as the employees of Salon Aquavit who donated their time.
We are proud to announce that Salon Aquavit has been chosen as one of the editor's Best of NH 2005 by NH Magazine. We will be featured in their annual Best of NH issue this July.
The Salon raised over $2000 for the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Foundation during Breast Cancer Awareness Month
In support of those loved and lost, clients as well as the employees of the Salon found ways to contribute to both the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
In conjuction with Lee Denim Day, the employees were given the chance to wear denim each Friday in October in exchange for a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The option to wear pink was also included for an extra donation.
The annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk took place at Greeley Park on Sunday October 16th. Several employees along with Salon owners Cheryl and Richard, took the 3.2 mile walk.
Lastly, donations were collected from the clientele as well as employees for those "In Memory of" or "In Honor of". We placed pink slips with the names in our hallway which gave us a daily reminder of how many people have been stricken with this disease.
We look forward to participating again next year!
